South Wales Sports Grounds is looking for a skilled CAD Technician to join our team and play a key role in developing technical designs for sports construction projects. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D construction drawings, including cut & fill models, drainage plans, fencing, and floodlighting, as well as creating rendered visualisations for client presentations and project approvals.

You’ll work closely with clients, project managers, and site teams to interpret survey data, carry out volume calculations, and ensure all designs meet industry standards and SuDS principles. This role offers the chance to help shape a growing in-house design department and take ownership of projects from feasibility through to construction.

If you’re ambitious, hands-on, and eager to fast-track your career in sports construction design; have strong AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D, SketchUp, Revit or similar), a good understanding of earthworks and drainage, with a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking AstroTurf / Sports Carpet Installer to join our site teams, delivering high-quality artificial grass and sports surface installations across a range of sports and civil engineering projects. The role involves installing artificial grass and sports carpet systems, assisting with groundwork and base preparation, operating hand tools and small plant equipment, and maintaining high standards of workmanship and site cleanliness. You will be expected to work effectively within a team and strictly follow all health and safety procedures.

Applicants must hold a valid CSCS card and a full UK driving licence, demonstrate strong teamwork, good timekeeping, and a solid work ethic, and be willing to travel to sites across South Wales and surrounding areas. While not essential, a tractor or telehandler ticket and previous experience in sports surface installation or groundwork would be advantageous.
