Marketing and Partnerships Manager (Freelance) – Flexible 3–5 Days Per Week

South Wales Sports Grounds is a well-established, highly respected and industry-leading organisation operating within the sport construction sector.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and strategic marketing professional to play a key role in strengthening our brand, communications and partnerships—most notably our long-standing relationship with the Football Association of Wales (FAW).

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced, self‑employed Marketing Manager to take ownership of our marketing function and represent the company with sponsors and partners. This role requires a strategic thinker who can set direction, make informed decisions, and personally deliver high‑quality work. The position offers flexibility of 3–5 days per week and suits an individual who is confident operating independently.

Key Requirements

  • Self‑employed professional available on a part‑time or full time retained basis
  • Proven strategic capability with the ability to plan and execute marketing activity
  • Hands‑on approach — able to produce content, campaigns, and materials directly
  • Strong graphic design ability for creating visual assets and branded collateral
  • Clear communicator with disciplined organisation and follow‑through
  • Comfortable managing both long‑term planning and day‑to‑day delivery

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a structured marketing strategy
  • Produce graphics, content, and campaign materials in‑house
  • Manage digital channels and maintain consistent brand presentation
  • Provide insights, reporting, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Strengthen brand visibility and market positioning
  • Identify opportunities to improve communication and client engagement
  • Monitor campaign and social media effectiveness using KPIs and analytics tools
  • Work closely with the Commercial team on sales content and enablement
  • Update the company website using a content management system
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, MailChimp, WordPress or similar marketing, content and design tools

What We Offer

  • Flexible working pattern (3–5 days per week)
  • Long‑term partnership with a stable, growing organisation
  • Autonomy to shape and lead the marketing function
  • Direct collaboration with senior management

Apply

Professionals with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to deliver work themselves will be well suited to this role. If you meet the criteria and are interested in a flexible, self‑employed arrangement, we welcome your application.
